Easy Rigging a Barber Hauler on Your Boat

A Barber Hauler was invented by the Barber brothers (I know, can you believe it?!). They wanted to be able to further control the shape of the jibsail and the position of the jibsail clew. On cruising boats, it is not always practical to go to all the extra expense of installing every bit of gear that they originally suggested, and so various forms of achieving this have since been devised. These are all, loosely, most often called Barber Haulers now.

We discuss this and many other fine tuning sail trim techniques in our advanced Sail Trim Course. You can sign up now!
