Tell us a little bit about yourself?
I started sailing when I was 10 years old with my uncle on Lake Ponchartrain in New Orleans. It was then I realized my passion for sailing. Forty years later I finally took a Formal Sailing Class. I thought I knew a lot, and I did, but did not realize how much I did not know

What got you into sailing?
Learning to sail on my uncle’s racing sailboat

It is a great way to relax and escape the hustle and bustle of life.
Most memorable sailing experience?
Taking classes with my wife and then sailing with her in the BVI
What are a couple of your favorite sailing spots?
BVI number 1 and then Tampa Bay, FL
What’s your favorite part about teaching sailors?
Seeing the excitement in students when they perfectly execute a new task
What advice would you give a new student about sailing? An experienced sailor?
New students: Keep your enthusiasm and excitement while learning. It is an ongoing process
Experienced sailors: There is always something to learn from anyone
What is a random fact about yourself?
I am very calm in catastrophes
